Misspelled Food

June 26th, 2011 by Froggy

Another oldy, but goody, Misspelled Foods — People’s reactions tend to range from extreme giddiness, to rolling of the eyes, to extreme dislike and anger. This is going to be an excessively long post, but full of yummy goodness. I, for one, giggled like a little school girl the first time I saw these, but then again I am easily amused. There were so many that I decided to install a new image gallery function, so just click on the images to scroll through them all, or click one as it scrolls by, the adventure is yours to take, I merely point the way, you decide your own method.

Jack Kevorkian, Dr. Death: Dead at 83 – Activist and Painter

June 3rd, 2011 by Froggy

Goodnight Sweet Prince, Jack Kevorkian, also known as Dr. Death passed away today at the age of 83.  Known as an advocate for physician assisted suicide, Kevorkian assisted 130 or more people in ending their lives.  He spurred national and global debates about a patient’s right to die — even serving time in jail for his practices and beliefs.  But did you also know he was a painter?  He could paint an entire apartment in one afternoon — two coats!  Ok, besides bad allusions to The Producers, he was an artist.  Kevorkian painted serene scenes of bunny rabbits and flowers.

Where's all the plugs at?

No, wait, did I say serene?  The horror!  The horror!

Like his life, his art seems to seek to expose injustice, the apathy of those in charge, and the hypocrisy of a system that prolongs suffering.  Rest in peace Dr. Death, you fought for what you thought was right, and we’ll miss your shenanigans.

The American Medical Association says the humane way is to let people starve and thirst to death. If you did that to an animal, you’d be put in jail immediately … In the face of such insanity masquerading as authority, who wouldn’t be strident?”
